good: It’s 2017, we should not still be dealing with localized dubs that try and cover up the fact that the source material is Japanese by changing names and erasing any aspects of Japanese culture. also there’s no need to fill every second with voice acting, American children can deal just fine with animation giving them silent pauses and room to breathe. also cutting out whole episodes is Bad.
bad: boycott glitter force because it reminds me that the material that I am watching is in fact, for children, even though it always has been, I just notice it more when it’s in my actual language. also I definitely don’t understand that by boycotting the dub I’m shooting the fandom in the foot when it comes to Precure’s chances to gain a following outside of nice circles in America and reducing the chances of merch and also legal streaming for the sub making it over to western shores
